Computer User Guide

Saturday, 12 December 2009

I'm thinking of writing a PDF file on how to maintain your PC, optimise it, and improve the general quality of your experience while using it. Many of my friends often ask me about specific tasks they want to do with their PC, like how to reduce boot time, increase system performance, make Vista or XP more productive, what software is available to do X job, etc. Rather than repeating myself, I may as well just write it all down, and then they and you can just read the guide whenever, to find something out.

What I'll probably do is write articles about specific tasks, like Windows services, improving the boot time, improving system performance, or whatever. Whenever I finish one of these articles I'll post it on here, and when they're all done I'll form them into chapters, save the text into a pdf and upload it onto a few servers.

As time goes on and I learn more magic tricks, I can just add to it, and then upload the latest version. Stay tuned on here to see the next update on this project.

In other news, this blog will probably slow down in January as I will have some university exams and report deadlines. But you'll all be too busy trying to lose weight after Christmas, so I doubt you'll notice!

Speaking of magic tricks:
